If you love the sea then you will appreciate charts and their fascinating detail, gathered in the 1800's by pioneering mariners. Nautical charts contain information that would not normally appear on maps; names of headlands and coves to stir our imaginations. The shape of the coast gives an appreciation and respect of the sea's power, carving the land over millennia. Most of the information was hand drawn by British hydrographers as they charted the world.
